Skater Isakova
1949 - 1950

Maria Isakova was a world champion speed skater. She won three consecutive gold medals at the World All-Round Championships and was awarded the Order of Lenin. This delicate bronze captures Maria's elegance as well as the suggestion of her famous speed. The sculpture has a beautiful diagonal line to suggest forward momentum.

Elena Yanson-Manizer
1890 - 1971

​Elena Yanson-Manizer was the wife of Matvey Manizer. Like her husband, she excelled at bronze sculptures of sporting and cultural heroes in the Socialist Realist style.
