Alexsei Gritsai

1914 - 1998

​Gritsai studied in Leningrad. He subsequently won the Stalin Prize in 1951 and 1952 and the USSR State Prize in 1978. He was also an academician of the USSR Academy of Arts.

Gritsai was a talented landscape artist and much of his art was motivated by a desire to express the beauty of nature and the joy which this could bring to men and women.
